Twitter shows you “Followers you know” when looking at an account. Mastodon doesn’t, for a good reason. Your decision to follow someone shouldn’t depend on peer pressure.

For vulnerable groups this feature serves another purpose however: when dealing with toxic accounts, it shows who in your own bubble you should be wary of.

Luckily, Mastodon makes it easy to create similar functionality (you can contribute on GitHub). Enter your account handle, enter other account’s handle, compare your bubbles.
